This page summarizes what we record when you use the reset service. It is not a substitute for legal advice and does not claim compliance with any specific jurisdiction's law.

What we record for a reset

For transaction and fraud-prevention purposes, when you use a reset key we record:

• Printer model and series
• Printer serial number
• Redemption date and time
• Reset and readback (verification) result
• Connector/software version
• Your IP address, temporarily, for security and fraud prevention

How long we keep it

IP address: retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is automatically removed from our systems.

Other transaction/redemption evidence (printer model, serial number, result, timestamps): may be retained longer, as necessary for transaction records, fraud prevention, and dispute handling (for example, an eBay or payment dispute).

What we never store

• Your reset key in plaintext — only a one-way cryptographic hash is ever stored
• Raw printer command bytes or protocol payloads
• Raw device paths from your operating system
